ENCOUNTERING ART AND SPIRIT

I am getting my workshops underway for 2009. If you want to come and play, be inspired and have fun for a day or more, these workshops are for you. My workshops are designed to implement creative ways of encountering the soul’s inner journey through art. Painting, poetry and collage will be explored in these experiential workshops. Other components, such as music, meditation and sharing, are fashioned to enhance the creative process and play a significant role, as we examine different ways of self-expression. The spirituality and art workshops are adapted according to individual groups and length of days. Emphasis is more on process than an end result, although a finished project is oftentimes achieved. Western Ohio Watercolor Society

Karen Benedetti and Mike Elsass demonstrate walking through FEAR in a demonstration at the WOWS monthly meeting. They created and destroyed each other's creation by painting over each other's painting strokes. I think the audience was more fearful than Karen and Mike.

'Funky' Valentine Book/Card

These are some 'funky' valentine book/cards I made for my grandchildren. I will be teaching a mini workshop at We Care Arts in February so I was practicing on what to teach. These books were so much fun to make.

Donna Rogers, Trish McKinney, Joanne Adair and myself were a part of the wonderful celebration at Visceral's Grand Gallery Opening. We celebrated with chatter, gourmet appetizers, champaign and art all around. The gallery's hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10-9 pm and located at 65 W. Franklin St., Centerville, OH. Cannery First Friday

Charlynn Knight, artist on left from Charleston, S. C., was here visiting during the holidays and decided to buy one of my art pieces. It is the square canvas in between us titled Whisper. I have a new friend and not because she bought my art. She's a real sweetheart.
